About Benjamin Harris

Ben is UK Climate Change & Sustainability Director at Arcadis. His team works with clients to develop corporate strategy, improve asset performance and embed sustainability into new developments. He joined Arcadis from EIT Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest climate innovation programme where as Head of Strategic Funding he had responsibility for the programme’s strategy and funding allocation from the European Commission of over €80m per annum, working across 28 countries with cities, businesses, innovators and entrepreneurs to develop and demonstrate innovation that will enable a net zero society. Prior to this he spent nearly 15 years in consultancy, leading teams advising on the integration of sustainability in the public and private sector. This includes working on development programmes such as Meridian Water and Barking Riverside. He also supported the establishment of government-led innovation initiative, Transport Systems Catapult now the Connected Places Catapult where he helped to integrate the challenge of decarbonisation and sustainability into the approach to stimulating innovation for future transport systems.
